The Agricultural Genome to Phenome Initiative (AG2PI) is a USDA-sponsored project that is committed to protecting the privacy of our members and provide a safe online experience. This Statement of Privacy applies to the AG2PI site and governs data collection and usage. By using the AG2PI site, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.
Collection of your Personal Information
Certain pages of the AG2PI website collect personally identifiable information, such as your email address and name. Your sensitive personal data are never collected by AG2PI.
There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by AG2PI. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, country of origin, and referring website addresses. This information is used by AG2PI to provide general statistics regarding use of the AG2PI site.
Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through AG2PI public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others.

Use of your Personal Information
AG2PI collects and uses your personal information to operate the AG2PI website and deliver the services you have requested. Any time you register for an AG2PI event or activity, through the website or via a link in an email, your information is saved and may be used to contact you about future AG2PI events or activities. This personal information is used to populate future forms you fill in on the website to save you time. AG2PI also uses your personally identifiable information to inform you of other opportunities available from AG2PI and its partners or collaborators. AG2PI may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.
AG2PI does not Sell, Rent or Lease its Member Lists to Partners or Collaborators
AG2PI may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of partners/collaborators about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is not transferred to partners or collaborators. In addition, AG2PI may share data with trusted partners to help us perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, or provide support. All partners/collaborators are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to AG2PI, and they are asked to maintain the confidentiality of your information.
AG2PI keeps track of the websites and pages our members visit within AG2PI, in order to determine what AG2PI services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content within AG2PI to members whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.
AG2PI websites will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on AG2PI or the site; and, (b) act under exigent circumstances to protect the activities of AG2PI, the safety of members of the AG2PI community, or the public.
